For its cultural return, the Bullukian Foundation is hosting a major monographic exhibition by the artist François Réau, who pursues his exploration of drawing with the presentation of unique art works, often deployed in installations and which question our relationship to the landscape and our perception of time.

Through this exhibition, François Réau wished to pay tribute to the figure of the great poet and resistant René Char and his radical writing, sometimes abrupt but always striking; poetry then becomes the path of a sensitive proposal that oscillates between presence and absence.

The artist, who invokes the spirit of places in his projects to better reveal them, is particularly interested in the textile history of the city of Lyon, while engaging in an unprecedented with a regional company La Trudine, whose fabric production combines historical know-how and latest generation printing techniques. François Réau’s experience of drawing, made with meticulous observation, regularity and repeated gestures, is here reinvented to unfold and emancipate itself on a life-size fabric, like a new symbolic space. The pattern replaces the fine line of the pencil and the effects of unexpected gradients vibrating in contact with the material allow a new narration which makes visible unexplored phenomena.

JM Braizat’s graphic creations and oral performances question the relationship of internal surrealism as a barrier to the overwhelming external world. Close to Buddhist philosophy, his creations are true mental landscapes guided by meditation and the relationship to the visible and internal worlds that we have in each of us. It offers the public a new vision of what constitutes us mentally: an internal world made up of several layers, layers, energies. This vision makes us less fragile, stronger. Jean-Michel Braizat defines his Art as Vital.

Sarah Degenhardt, born 1992 in Memmingen, Germany, studied Fine Arts at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe, Germany, at École Supérieure d’Art La Réunion and at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris, France. Experiences of landscape, nature and their influence on humans and their habitus are the breeding ground and initial moment of her works. In the course of the working process she transforms them into densely reduced images which find their translation in audiovisual multichannel installations, paper works and sculptures. Spatial mannerisms, points of reference and where everything tilts are the elements and moments that interest her continuously, luring the visitors into a fold of space-time, where everything is being tipped over to be rearranged anew. She was awarded with several prizes, grants and residencies and was represented internationally in exhibitions in Germany, Portugal, France, Iceland and Japan.

Exhibition in the framework of the International Festival of Extra Ordinary Textiles (FITE). The FITE is a project that shows our contemporary world far from being only a place where we show know-how or exceptional fabrics. For the past 10 years, it has aimed to "change the world", by exploring human diversity through textiles from different countries and countries and through actions with diverse audiences.

This exhibition, which is called "Chemin de traverse" which can be translated to "The alternative path", deals mainly with the journeys of migrants through the eyes of contemporary artists. The aim of the exhibition is to show how artists, through very different languages (music, video, photography, ceramics, embroidery, comics, installations...) can tackle the subject of migrants.

This series came into being at first within the boiling energy of Exarchia (Athens), then it deployed its matrix in many- sided elsewhere which bear the imprints, the gaps and the elements of resistance of a society on its last leg. Here the opaque signs of a primitive ephemeral urban alphabet come to the surface. There delicate, shivering skins come modestly into view, the fragile delight of life fighting to survive. This work is a polysemous corpus set into deep, contradictory flows. Colours and materials, lines and faces, signified and signifiant jostle together here, they come to the surface from the very bustling depths of our towns and of our bodies just like foam on gale days

Presenting : The International Association of Contemporary Arts (AIAC) is a space for conferences, round tables, animations and cultural/artistic meetings. It is a lively and friendly place where artists and members exchange their ideas and build projects, in relation to the international.

Danaël Valbert is a French artist exploring several fields such as sculpture, 3D, drawing or musical instrument making. He creates hybrid objects from different materials by mixing mechanical know-how with the use of new technologies.

During this last evening of the exhibition of the works of JM Braizat, a performative moment will take place in the garden of the Workshops at 46. The artist invites the assembly to share with him an affusion. Fragile water gives resistance to nature, to man, to life.

Mory and Ria are artists who come from two very different backgrounds, worlds and countries: Burkina Faso and the United States. Despite their differences in culture, philosophy and identity, during the Jardin sauvage exhibition, the artists work together to play with and treat a fundamental thing that binds us all: the vegetal world. The reason Mory and Ria wanted to focus on plant-life is because they find that its power is too often and simply forgotten. Through their expressionistic and variable approaches to painting, which sometimes include the addition of black light, Mory and Ria illuminate another way of seeing reality in the living greenery that surrounds us. Together, their paintings and their art weave an inexhaustible story of what it means to be wild in a world that is increasingly under a controlling human hand. To also find the wildness that is in each of us is an inner exploration, a manifesto of the fragility of the spirit. Mory and Ria try not to define their art too closely to avoid empowering limiting categorizations. The Jardin Sauvage painting exhibition is an ode to freedom, to love and to nature.

In its scenographic approach, with the complicity of Galerie Slika, Poliform Lyon by RBC, explores here the characteristics of the artists by appropriating their work, playing with their representations in order to seize another dimension.
In a decor both sober and motionless, the 3 artists exposed offer a visual narrative where the works and the place come to life to form a scene with sometimes contemporary, sometimes upcycled influences, always with a touch of humor and casualness.
The dialogue between the powerful and dissonant works of each of the invited artists and the unique character of the place, underline with force their respective aesthetic singularity.
A step aside for the single-brand showroom Poliform Lyon, which proposes a new way to explore contemporary art, both friendly and offbeat.
The works, specifically designed for the Poliform Lyon showroom, will be sold exclusively during the exhibition.

The installation aims to show the fragility of an idea before it becomes a tangible design product.
From the thought, to the first sketch, to the development process, to the final product. An idea/concept can quickly get lost along the way. Once an idea begins to move through the various stages, it's a matter of making sure the "design intent" doesn't get lost.
"Very few ideas are turned into reality, most don't even make it to the sketch phase!"says Alain Gilles.
Bleached furniture has its sketches superimposed, turning them into what appear to be fragile, surreal pieces defined by only a few lines.
Above the furniture pieces, the components float in the air as a symbol of the thought process and the birth of those first fragile and ill-defined concepts.
As a symbol of the different sources of personal and external inspirations that give birth to a concept. The backdrop represents the sheet of paper that floats in the air to finally merge into the white pedestal. Fragility and lightness melt into the solidity of the base to become a tangible reality.
This backdrop and the base symbolize the process of transforming an idea into a material reality.The function of the white backdrop is also to isolate the piece from the rest of the space and to create a kind of space within the space, as if one were inside the mind, between dream and reality.

Even the city makes fun of me is an exhibition project bringing together nine young artists who graduated from ENSBA Lyon in 2021. This exhibition is marked by our first months as young artists, with nine different readings of what "even the city makes fun of me" can mean. The title is a phrase taken from a poem by Betty Camaly, an artist participating in the exhibition.

In line with a long tradition and active policy of support to professional artistic training, each year the Ècole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Lyon confers a number of awards and exceptional aid packages, specific to the school, to the most talented of its graduates. The Prix Hélène Linossier is one of them.

This exhibition is a poetic waltz in three stages, the time to see, the time to listen and the time to say. Frédéric Denis (photographer) went to pose a Servant in various high places of shows in the Metropolis of Lyon, and produced this series of images. Jean-Michel Pirollet (composer) took hold of these images and, for each of them, composed a sound piece. And in a third time, Jean-Christophe Vermot-Gauchy (author and actor) sat down at his table to write from this visual and sound material.

The subject of fragility addressed by the manifesto of the 16th Biennale echoes a state of palpable uncertainty during which the alarming precariousness of the access to culture, its production and its broadcasting was particularly revealed. This 52-minute documentary follows a young group set off to criss-cross the heart of the Alps on skis, from Chamonix to Zermatt. Throughout their crossing, the four protagonists decipher the visible and invisible signs of global warming on the Alpine glaciers.

The mountain is a barometer of the state of the world, where global warming is three times more visible there than elsewhere. This trip is an opportunity to realize the fragility of our ecosystems and to question the balance to be found with our environment.
