The gallery L'Alcôve is an exhibition and creative space, located at 15 rue René Leynaud in the 1st district of Lyon. Its specificity is that it is an associative gallery. Created in May 2015, L'Alcôve is occupied by an associative collective composed of eight artists, "Les Artistes Lyonnais".

L'Alcôve is a place of sharing and discovery, composed of an exhibition space and an artistic residence space where the Artistes Lyonnais have at their disposal a workshop in which they can let their creativity run free. They also offer courses and workshops to transmit their techniques and know-how to the public.

L'Alcôve is a place of experimentation and artistic expression without limits. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, mosaics; all forms of art are welcome within our walls. Resolutely turned towards the future, the works exhibited show the extent of contemporary creation and are as much evidence of the activity of young emerging artists.

"Erosion" exhibition

Galerie L'Alcôve

Fragility is a daily occurrence for an artists' collective, such as the collective of the gallery L'Alcôve. It is the cohesion of the group that must be maintained and built upon as new projects and newcomers come along. It is the identity of the group, much more fleeting, shifting and uncertain than that of the individual, and therefore more ephemeral. It is also the capacity of the collective to set its objectives for a common project, as for a photograph testifying to the fragility of the moment.
