L'Alcôve is opening its doors of its studios to the public and inviting you to come and meet the nine artists in residence at the "Behind the Scenes" evening.
A three-week residency in the studio gallery will be set up before the resonance exhibition, from 25th September to 12th October... The artists will work together to explore their own perceptions of the river and discuss their artistic intentions. In the same way that a river builds and shapes different landscapes, it will be an opportunity to establish concepts that will take the form of collaborations and personal thinking.
On this occasion, the gallery is opening its doors to reveal what goes on behind the scenes of a residency. Through discussions, workshops and guided tours, visitors will be able to :
- Discover the artists and their careers: Where do they come from? What inspires them? What are their favorite techniques?
- Understand their vision of rivers: What relationship do the artists have with rivers? What do they want to express through their work?
- Watch the artists at work, see the artworks in real and discover what goes on behind the scenes of artistic creation.
This meetup will be an opportunity for an open and stimulating dialogue between the artists and the public. Visitors will be able to ask questions, share their thoughts and discover the artworks in progress.
