In the heart of Vieux Lyon and the Lyon World Heritage Site, Gadagne is a historic monument, listed in 1920, emblematic of the district, which houses two museums: the Museum of the History of Lyon and the Museum of Puppetry Arts.

Ideally located between the Saône River and the Fourvière Hill, it is the largest building in Vieux Lyon that you can visit. It features typical Renaissance and 17th-century architecture in Lyon: a magnificent courtyard, spiral staircases, monumental fireplaces, a painted ceiling, and decorations from the 16th and 17th centuries. Hidden on the top floor, its terrace garden is a true haven of peace. A must-see stop on your discovery of Lyon!

To better understand Gadagne, an exhibition room called "A Monument, A History" is accessible for free.
