The Symbolic Links project takes shape in a space that is first and foremost a studio, a place dedicated to share and collaborate. Since the beginning, the Color Colors art collective, led by Mélanie Lefebvre and Manon Oller, has been committed to promote experimentation between artists of different backgrounds, inspirations and practices. It's a shared space, a meeting place for artists. It's also a place where works and ephemeral installations engage in dialogue during temporary exhibitions open to the public.
The association's ambition is to offer a space of freedom in which to weave a virtuous dialogue. By inviting artists into the intimate, protected space of the studio, Color Colors lets in that impalpable yet fundamental force : connection. Both a powerful symbol of the alchemy at work and the result of trust in others, this is what is established when we welcome artists in residence, through exhibitions and other artistic artistic encounters. For this project, which resonates with the Biennale, Color Colors wishes to extend this galaxy of links that the structure strives to bring out.
The exhibition Symbolic Links focuses on the notion of connection in the creation of a work. The hand plays a central role in the creative process of painters Mélanie Lefebvre and Chloé Weinfeld and sculptor Manon Oller - La Mano Studio.
