Vernissage of the art exhibition Symbolic Links
Symbolic Links is a space of aesthetic rituals between the spectator and the artists.
Three worlds with different histories and origins, meet and mingle in this space. It creates a new work at the confluence of Reunion Island, Mediterranean lands and northern France.
Symbolic Links is a collaborative installation depicting the sensitive bond between three artists from the same generation. The exhibition's scenography appears as an aesthetic ritual: a painting screen (cadavre exquis), hanging painted curtains, light sculptures…It leads to an assemblage of visual links and symbolic connections. The space is transformed into a place of communion in which the spectator is invited to wander, sit and settle in. The objects can be activated by the spectator (through touching, crossing and illuminating). In this landscape, walls are flexible and porous, canvas becomes an object and sculptures fly.
