Chemin du Bas du Port, Ile Barbe,
69009 LYON

The Notre-dame de l'île Barbe chapel was founded in the 11th or 12th century by the Benedictine abbey on the island - one of the oldest in France, predating the 5th century - to accommodate the large number of pilgrims. Since its renovation, the chapel has been used for art exhibitions. On the occasion of European Heritage Days, the site will be open Saturday 21/09 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday 22/09 from 10am to 5pm.
