FLUIDOS | FLUID BODY, a unique interdisciplinary project for the program RESONANCE of the 17th Lyon Biennale. The project extends from corporeality to interactive / participatory relationship with the local public in the region.
Collaborative interdisciplinary project by artists Hector Canonge and Wilson Tapia that explores the biological nature of the human body around the plasticity of language, focusing on the fluid nature of words and the multiple meanings that the word "fluidity" can evoke depending on context.
In a biological context, the project considers the biological nature of the human body—we are composed of ninety percent vital fluids. The project will focus on re-contextualizing the word "fluid" to also allow for the construction of geographic, biological, and societal relationships/references.
Geographically, CUERPOS FLUIDOS | FLUID BODIES refers to human migration, to bodies in motion, constantly moving back and forth. Bio-ecologically, the concept of "fluidity" extends to nature itself—the constant change in human habitats; and socially, it relates to the interaction and connection between bodies—the confluence of knowledge and social practices from various human groups who have come to inhabit a particular territory.
