Élodie Lefebvre creates a sensitive space that reflects the artistic residency “Lyon - If I Were Your Mirror”, held in the palliative care units of Lyon’s Hospices Civils. Patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and artists explore “Being Alive” together. Art, care and human experiences meet.

The Lyon Municipal Library has a significant, unique, and little-known heritage collection of contemporary works. Formed through the integration of holdings from the artothèque and the National Photography Foundation, the collection has been expanding since the 1990s, driven by research, encounters, reflection, and bold initiatives. The exhibition “Dans l’œil” presents a selection of these works held in the library’s reserves.

The artist Myrtille Bouvret and the researcher-glaciologist Jean-Baptiste Bosson bring together artistic and scientific perspectives. A conversation exploring their field practices and the ways art and science document and make visible the ongoing transformations of Alpine landscapes.

Choreographer Mats Ek, known for his unique and highly theatrical style, harnesses the elemental energy of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. This exceptional production, entering the repertoire of the Lyon Opera Ballet, will be performed live with the Orchestra. Sharon Eyal’s House will open the evening.

Hitonari TSUJI is a rare figure in the Japanese art scene: his creative practice moves freely between painting, literature, and music. The essence of his work lies not in diversity, but in his unwavering commitment to an inner necessity to create. Refusing to separate creation, life, and expression, his approach resonates deeply with Robert Filliou’s principles of Poetic Economy. On view November 4–22.

Between Yveline Loiseur and Géraldine Kosiak, attention becomes a way of inhabiting the world. One reveals the fragile correspondences of life; the other gathers forgotten gestures, objects and memories. Both choose slowness, nuance and what quietly endures.

When architecture gives rise to dreams — This work brings together images (photography), music and sound, voice and poetry. It is a project filled with stories, in the plural — stories of listening and seeing — of daydreams.

Through fragments, a subtle mapping of the landscape runs through the works like a reminiscence. The gathering of subtle clues from reality gives rise to forms that stem less from representation than from fragments, traces, and displacement.

Palestinian photojournalist Fatma Hassona has documented life in Gaza since the start of the Israeli offensive in October 2023. Her work records forced displacement, the destruction of infrastructure caused by bombardment, civilian casualties, funerals, and moments of resilience.

The exhibition Forms of the attention brings together ten artists : five artists teaching at Ensba Lyon are inviting five artists from the same school. Rather than gathering these artists around a single theme, the exhibition chooses to highlight the diversity of ways to approach photography today.

The exhibition is situated at a pivotal moment between two visions: that of a territory shaped by industry and that of the forms of life emerging there today. The project brings into dialogue two forms of testimony: work clothes and the plants that colonize wastelands.

In conjunction with the Lyon Biennale, Le Bleu du Ciel presents an exhibition dedicated to Blaise Adilon, bringing together a selection of artist portraits made between 1984 and the present day, alongside Berlin 1986, the seminal series that marked the beginning of his photographic practice.
