Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin is a small French town located in the department of Savoie and the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (formerly Rhône-Alpes region). Its inhabitants are called Pontois and Pontoises. The commune covers 1.8 km² and has 2,075 inhabitants since the last population census dating from 2007. With a density of 1,133.9 inhabitants per km², Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin has seen a clear increase in 32% of its population compared to 1999. Surrounded by the municipalities of Belmont-Tramonet, Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin and Romagnieu, Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin is located 20 km southwest of Chambéry, the largest town in the area. Located at an altitude of 242 meters, the Guiers River and the Ruisseau de Pissevielle are the main rivers which cross the commune of Pont-de-Beauvoisin.
