More than just a drink, more than a social act, coffee is the initiator of appointments, the pretext for meetings, a faithful friend, and the feeling of “home”.

"Future Revealed in Coffee" is a workshop organized by Turkish-Swiss artist Cemre Nomer, with the aim of immersing participants in the fascinating world of coffee divination. This ancient divinatory practice, which has its origins in shamanic rites, will be presented in the context of the exhibition "Coffee is a Pretext". During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to discover:

  • the art of Turkish coffee: learn how to prepare an authentic Turkish coffee while respecting the ancestral traditions and techniques that have made a unique drink.
  • the interpretation of coffee grounds: discover how to read and interpret the patterns formed by coffee grounds. This practice, once reserved for shamans, will allow you to reveal hidden aspects of your character and explore sociological questions through a contemporary perspective. NB: your "Dictionary of Recurring Signs" by Cemre Nomer will be waiting for you on site.
