Open studio and meeting with artist Jeanne Vrastor at Moly-Sabata – Fondation Albert Gleizes, in collaboration with the artist-run space monopôle, on December 6 and 7.

During her residency, artist Jeanne Vrastor will present her research and work as part of her open studio at Moly-Sabata. The visit, in the presence of the artist, will take place on December 6 and 7, with free entry from 2 PM to 6 PM. Additional visits may be arranged by appointment.

Each year, Moly-Sabata – Fondation Albert Gleizes invites a young regional art space to nominate an artist for a one-month residency. This year, monopôle has invited Jeanne Vrastor for this residency, which will culminate in an exhibition at monopôle in January 2025.

Through her sculptures and installations, Jeanne Vrastor explores how sensibility organizes and produces reality. She creates assemblages that weave together bodily memories, emotions, intimate mythologies, and evolving connections between Humans and More-than-Humans.

During her residency, Jeanne Vrastor focuses on the knowledge, gestures, and forms generated and transmitted through basket-making practices. Her work investigates the production of bodies through everyday and technical gestures, in interaction with the minerals, plants, and other living beings that shape the territory. This research will develop into a body of work produced in part from a biomaterial created on-site in collaboration with the More-than-Humans.
