Mirror, an exhibition of painters: G. Amaro, Sarah Jérôme, G. Bussière, R. Renaud, A. Tournissoux, all of whom share a common style of painting over water that transports us through different narratives... Au Cube is an island gallery of passionate collectors keen to share their discoveries.
"Mirror" A single word that sounds like utopia, since the mirror is a place without a place. It opens up a virtual space behind the surface where I am not. It offers me my own visibility, allowing me to look at myself where I am absent. But it's also a heterotopia, insofar as the mirror actually exists… Just like the Au Cube gallery, which is based in the smallest commune in the Ain department (1,600 inhabitants). St Laurent sur Saône, an island village (surrounded by the Saône), has been exhibiting contemporary painting via Au Cube for the past two years. An unreal location, effectively realized, in which all the other real locations that can be found within the culture are at once represented. Sarah Jérôme, Raphaël Renaud, Abel Tournissoux, and their ancestor Gaston Bussière are painters who share a common passion for painting with the flow of water, transporting us through different narratives... A common passion to make their singular voices resonate and share their discoveries.
