In "Fragment," Caroline Bia revisits Italian Renaissance inspirations through geometric abstraction. By combining a bold colour palette, innovative geometric forms reveal a new perspective on the fundamentals of classic painting.

At first glance, Caroline Bia's creations do not immediately evoke the Italian Renaissance. Her work has been firmly rooted in abstraction for over ten years, exploring an infinitely rich pictorial and chromatic subtlety. However, her new " Fragment " collection draws inspiration from Piero della Francesca. Fascinated by the chromatic alliances and the strength of the formal combinations in this artist's frescoes, Caroline Bia creates a language of geometric forms that seeks to capture the very essence of timeless painting. Her canvases reveal perspective and colour harmony in their simplest expression.

What distinguishes Caroline Bia is her unique brushstroke technique, refined over the years. She goes beyond geometric abstraction by infusing depth and vibration into her complex coloured compositions. Through multiple sensitive brushstrokes, applied in successive layers and varying hues, she adds an extra dimension to her work. With "Fragment," Caroline Bia offers a contemporary interpretation of fragments of the Italian Renaissance, reinventing the fundamentals of this era through her own artistic prism.
