The Old City of Lyon, a land of welcome and hospitality, at the heart of Lyon's historic site on the right bank of the Saône, has been a land of welcome since the beginning of its history (foundation of the Roman city of Lugdunum on the hill of Fourvière in 43 BC), and open to the world

Elie Gerbe was born in Lyon in 1971. Attracted from an early age by the colors, curves and organic style of Gaudi, Niki Saint Phalle and "Le Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval" (Hauterives, Drôme), the visual artist now creates voluminous, luminous sculptures, such as corals and planets, inspired by the intertwining depths of the sea and the cosmos. Blending hues ranging from yellow to red, pink and orange, he aims to transport us into a dreamlike, poetic and sometimes psychedelic atmosphere. To create this universe, the artist uses his favorite material: expanding foam, a light, translucent material that allows him to surprise and create a happy-sweet atmosphere. He has performed numerous Installations at music and dance festivals, as well as in entertainment venues. Recently, Elie Gerbe held two exhibitions in Arles in 2023 for the Rencontres d'Arles, and in 2022 an exhibition at La Croix-Rousse (La Menuiserie) to coincide with the Biennale 2022, and a second at the Planetarium in Vaulx-en-Velin.
