« I said empty your mind ! Be formless,... shapeless,... like water ! Now Water can flow ! Or Water can crush ! Be like water my friend !... » Bruce Lee.

By encouraging us to approach the fluidity of water, Bruce Lee also invites us to reclaim its autonomy, expressiveness, and freedom. The works gathered in the exhibition "Becoming River" each offer a perspective and reflection on the question of water. They can be seen as so many streams towards critical and collaborative thinking. They were proposed independently to join this collection, whose narrative the public is free to appropriate. Like a watershed, the wooded area of the Yurt becomes a space where the works of the fourteen Gamut artists infiltrate, evaporate, and converge.

By focusing on this much-coveted resource that water is today, Becoming River offers a common reflection. In this exhibition, water is an element, an image, or an idea. The question of water invokes stories, experiences, but also many challenges. Water is poetic, but it is also political; the works scattered in the garden and the yurt function as a network. They are as many sources to be found which, when gathered, suggest the importance of water as a common good.

Gamut invites you to wander freely, encouraging everyone to reflect on their way of being in this exhibition, and perhaps, at least a little, on their way of being in the world.
